WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SPECIAL? Bialystok is full of history and devoid of tourist traps. It is a beautiful city to visit if you want to experience Eastern European culture without all of the human traffic.

 

 

MUST EAT:

  • Potato dumplings stuffed with meat, Milk Bar Podlasie

  • Polish steak tartare, Esperanto Restaurant & Cafe

  • Caffe latte with white and milk chocolate, E. Wedel Chocolate Lounge

 

MUST SEE:

  • Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

  • Akcent ZOO

  • Kosciuszko Market Square

MUST DO:

  • Go to a soccer game in the new Bialystok City Stadium

  • Ludwig Zamenhof Centre

  • Podlasie Museum

 

Other Recommendations: Even though there are taxis available all over the city, Bialystok is a great walking city. Indulge in rich ice cream and local beer fresh from the tap. Even though there are many restaurants that serve foods from other cultures, eat at the local milk bars that serve traditional Polish foods.
