NAME: William
CITY: Cape Coast
COUNTRY: Ghana
YEAR OF TRIP: 2008
HOW LONG WERE YOU THERE? A few days
BEST TIME TO GO: Although it is quite warm all year round, the humidity won’t be as bad during the “cooler months” of winter.
GREATEST CHALLENGE: For many westerners, the greatest challenge might be suspending expectations of personal comfort when traveling.
WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SPECIAL? It is both an exciting and sobering city. Simply walk around Cape Coast and watch this vibrant place come alive. The many colorful and customized fishing boats make for quite the scene. Several forts and castles make for interesting juxtaposition between the vibrant location and the history associated with the slave trade. There are many day trips close to Cape Coast.
