GREATEST CHALLENGE: security, can be a little dangerous if you’re not careful, but if you stay aware you will encounter no problems! People are generally very nice and warm, especially if you speak a little bit of spanish. However, the Spanish here is very fast with a strong accent so prepare yourself.
WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SPECIAL? Santiago is know as the “corazon” or heart of the Dominican Republic. There is easy access to the beautiful Northern Coast and a fun and lively culture.
