I use to view everything as a checkpoint on my Bucket List. Somewhere I had been, or something I had already done did not appeal to a younger version of myself. I wanted to get everything done, but I was missing the point: there is always something new to see or do. Every place has decades worth of adventures, and no one place can be over-traveled in your lifetime if you love it.

The opportunity to go to London with my best friend, a repeat trip for the both of us planning to stay with the same local family, sounded absolutely wonderful. It was guaranteed to be comfortable, we were familiar with the public transport, and had already hit most of the over-crowded tourist attractions. Our second vacation in London was relaxed - we went to the parks, ate brunch, looked around the markets, went to a paint bar, and visited some friends in the city.

We were only two years older, but it was an entirely new experience. Returning to a city is the same magic as the first time minus the confusion, stress, and anxiety that is navigating a new place. We were once again lucky enough to be hosted by Natalie’s cousins, who are the friendliest and loveliest hosts in the center of London. We are already excited to return for a third time!
